What is Hinduphobia?

What is Hinduphobia? Is it a made up word? Did someone coin it recently? The answer is that Hinduphobia was coined in 1866 by Sir Edward Sullivan talking about James Mills and it wasn’t made up by anyone from India or a Hindu. Hinduphobia ranges from crimes against humanity like genocide and atrocities and ethnic cleansing to subtle forms of racial and religious vilification like micro-aggressions. Hinduphobia is a subset of xenophobia and it includes other forms of prejudice like racism, paganphobia, anti-indigenous sentiment, anti-immigrant sentiment and the predominant perpetrators are usually religious bigots or eurocentric racists.
